Now we have the proper locations of the turrets I went back to the hardware layout to optimise that within the limitations set by the turrets. For the turrets to be able to move a decent space beneath the hull must be reserved for the servo’s. Also the hardware layout should look the best!

The hardware layout will feature 2 reservoirs a full ATX board space with room for 3 highend 320mm long graphic cards and high end CPU. All liquid cooled.

The hood is tricky. It needs to be able to proivide quick access to the hardware while , when closed, should not look like a seperate element in the overall design. The design as it is today will feature a hinged hood. So the hood will be able to move upwards a little then be bent backwards and fixed with a extension rod like the ones used for opening the hood of your car.

The next item on the to-do list was the issues with the demarcation between front superstructure and the main superstructure. After much designing and testing I finally came to this configuration that alignes the major lines with hull and superstructure. All will look very different with the proper greebling but its important to get the base lines correct as they determine the overall feel of the ship.
